What the CONNECT! Job Seeker Center offers:
The CONNECT! Job Seeker Center is a one-stop resource center for individuals
looking for jobs, hoping to better their skills, or switching career fields.

calendar for month-by-month listings of job seeker orientations
and other special events for job seekers.
Center services include:
- Computer Use: In the CONNECT! Job Seeker Center you can use a FAST TRACK computer to check your
e-mail or print a resume. Time limit: 15 minutes. The other computers
are available with a 1.5-hour time limit per day.
- Drop-in career advising/resume critique
appointments are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The appointments are 20 minutes long and
on a first come, first served basis.
- Consulting services for small businesses. On Tuesdays and Thursdays,
from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. a representative from the Silicon
Valley Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is available in
the CONNECT! Job Seeker Center to offer advice to small business owners
about finance, marketing, management, and legal matters. There is no cost
for this service. To schedule an appointment with an SBDC representative,
call 408-494-0240.
- Adaptive technology equipment assists disabled job seekers. An
advisor is available by appointment to provide information on programs/resources
to customers with disabilities. The center has two fully accessible workstations
equipped with assistive technology.
- Visually impaired job seekers can use the center's CCTV text magnifier
and enhancer table to read any type of text or job search resources. The
text reader is equipped to magnify from 3 to 30 times and it will light
up any text or image that the reader would like to see. It can also create
a negative image that allows reading material to appear as white words
on a black background. The CCTV table is located in the resource room
and there is a simple sign-in process for center members.
- Representatives from other CONNECT! organizations are co-located in
the CONNECT! Job Seeker Center. They include: NOVA, the California
Employment Development Department (EDD), the Department of Rehabilitation,
Project Hired, and the Social Services Agency. ProMatch, a chapter of
Experience Unlimited co-sponsored by EDD and NOVA, is also located at
the center.
Who the center is for:
- Adult job seekers, 18 years and older.
- No income or residency requirements.
How to become a member:
Center membership is free. Complete a
membership application and show your right to work in the U.S. to obtain immediate access to the center's resources and services.
Cost of Services:
Membership at the CONNECT! Job Seeker Center is free. There is no charge
to access a wide range of employment services at the center.

The CONNECT! Job Seeker Center is located at 420 S. Pastoria Avenue in
Sunnyvale, inside the California Employment Development Department (EDD)
building, which is across the parking lot from NOVA's main offices. (Map)
Who sponsors the center:
The CONNECT! Job Seeker Center is sponsored by CONNECT!, a collaborative
of more than 30 workforce development organizations in Santa Clara County.
CONNECT! provides a wide range of employment services to job seekers and
businesses in Silicon Valley.
In addition to NOVA, members of the CONNECT! collaborative include the
Employment Development Department, the valley's two community college
districts, adult education providers, and community-based organizations.
NOVA's offices are located adjacent to the CONNECT! Job Seeker Center.
