Background
Since 1995, Values-Driven Work has been recognized by career
management professionals as one of the premier work values assessment
instruments on the market. Values-Driven Work was originally developed
by the Career Action Center in Cupertino, Calif. When the Center
ceased operations in June 2002, it donated the product's rights
to NOVA, a nationally recognized
workforce development organization in Sunnyvale, Calif.
Since 1983, NOVA has been committed to developing a skilled workforce
and enhancing employability in Silicon Valley. As a nonprofit
organization administered by the City of Sunnyvale, NOVA provides
customer-oriented services for local businesses seeking professional
solutions for human resource needs, as well as for individuals
seeking training and development.
NOVA serves seven cities in northern Santa Clara County: Cupertino,
Los Altos, Milpitas, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, and
Sunnyvale. It is part of CONNECT!,
a collaborative of Silicon Valley organizations that provides
a wide range of services to businesses and job seekers.
