When National recently faced a layoff of 90 people at our Santa Clara location, I called NOVA to discuss outplacement services. I was open to seeing what they could do. NOVA staff came on site the day of our layoff. They stayed all day, explaining NOVA's career transition services and those of other one-stops in the area. They were extremely professional, sensitive, experienced, caring people who were able to size up each individual client's needs, sit down with them, and build rapport in a very short period of time. Many of our employees had worked for National for 20 to 25 years, so there were a lot of mixed emotions, which NOVA staff handled with great tact and sensitivity.

In the past, we've used large outplacement firms. While they provide a good service, it comes with a cost, both in dollars and the fact that it's time-limited. NOVA's services are at no cost, and I'm happy that we were able to offer our employees a wealth of information and access to a well-equipped career resource center for as long as they need.

I highly recommend NOVA services to anyone!
