Bay Area executives plan to pick up the pace of hiring over the next six months, the strongest job outlook since the 2001 dot-com bust, according to a survey to be released today. The quarterly confidence survey of the Bay Area Council, a business-sponsored public policy group, found that 43 percent of 512 CEOs and executives polled plan to hire more local workers in the next two quarters.
