Mixed hiring outlook for Q3

Third quarter hiring plans in Santa Clara County are weaker than in the rest of the state, according to a survey released Tuesday. From July to September, 28 percent of the companies in Santa Clara County interviewed plan to hire more employees, while 6 percent expect to reduce their payrolls, according to the Employment Outlook Survey provided by Milwaukee, Wis.-based Manpower Inc. Another 34 percent expect to maintain their current staff levels, and 32 percent are not certain of their hiring plans. MORE
