Get paid to learn

This year, a new program will be available for economically disadvantaged high school seniors and youth pursuing their GED who are interested in paid work experience opportunities. For six weeks this summer, eligible youth can participate in up to 200 hours of paid work experience. In addition to the on-the-job training component, youth will also receive personalized job-search and career-exploration assistance, as well as training in Microsoft Office and interpersonal or “soft” skills.

Applications will be accepted from April 1 through May 30, but space is limited, so be sure to apply early if interested. Contact the youth office for eligibility requirements.

Call the youth office at 408-730-7640 or visit us at 505 W. Olive Avenue, Suite 330, in Sunnyvale (click for link to interactive map).
